How do you write a bridge design report or lab report?
A section-by-section outline for a bridge project report: goal, design, build, test, results, analysis and conclusions, with what to include in each.

Short answer: state the goal, show the design and why, record what you built and tested, present the results honestly and explain what you learned. Keep it short and specific.
Outline
- Goal and rules. The span, the load, the mass limit and the scoring, in a few lines.
- Design. A drawing or photo with pushed and pulled members marked, and reasons for the shape. See which members are pushed or pulled.
- Materials and build. Stick sizes, glue, how you cut and joined, and any problems.
- Test method. How you loaded it, what you recorded. See testing safely.
- Results. A table of each bridge's mass, load, efficiency and first failure, with photos. See efficiency.
- Analysis. Why it failed where it did, and how that compares with your prediction. See predicting capacity.
- Improvements. What you'd change, and why.
- Help and sources. Who and what helped, including any tools. See using AI fairly.
Tips
- Use numbers and units everywhere.
- Report failures honestly, since they show the most.
- Label every figure.
- Keep the build log as you go, so the report writes itself.
